Fertility treatment information

Editorial and Medical Review Policy

Our approach to research, medical review, updates, corrections and transparent editorial standards.

We aim to publish clear, accurate and useful educational information about fertility treatment and international patient considerations. Because this website is owned and operated by Barbados Fertility Centre, we disclose that relationship and distinguish general education from information about BFC’s own services.

Research and sources

Where appropriate, articles should link to primary sources such as clinical guidelines, peer-reviewed research, government or regulatory information, accreditation organisations and official clinic documents. Sources should be dated and checked before publication. Marketing claims should not be presented as clinical evidence.

Medical review

Medical content must be reviewed and approved by an appropriately qualified clinician before publication. Each medical article should display the reviewer’s name and professional title, the original publication date and the date of the most recent substantive review. Do not publish placeholder reviewer details as if review has occurred.

Updates and corrections

Prices, services, eligibility rules, clinical policies and outcome statistics can change. Time-sensitive information should show its verification date and link to the authoritative source. Material errors should be corrected promptly and, where appropriate, the page should explain what changed.

Commercial transparency

BFC owns and operates this resource and may receive enquiries from readers. Clinic profiles and comparisons should disclose this relationship. We should not claim editorial independence or imply that BFC is ranked first by an independent body unless a transparent third-party source supports that claim.

AI and search systems

We use clear headings, descriptive page titles, accessible content and structured data to help readers and search systems understand pages. Structured data must accurately reflect visible page content. Search visibility is not guaranteed.
